People who live in Coaley are aware that some vehicles are driven through the village at speeds considerably in excess of the speed limit. The council has had several speed surveys carried out to establish the extent of this speeding. The first surveys were done in locations in the centre of the village, and although some vehicles were traveling in excess of 30 mph, the results didn't show the problem was bad enough to justify action by the County Council. Another survey was carried out in October 2019 at Far Green and Westend to see whether the problem was any worse away from the centre of the village. The report for this survey is attached and again it doesn't show that any action is necessary.
